July 2010 New painting coming out of the studio this month.
The first
painting was "The Diner" finished a few months ago. The New Gallery in The Lake Arrowhead Village.
A new portrait commission just started in Studio - Cultura. Three children of a Commercial Real Estate client in Dallas, Texas.
This is phase one. Approved. I start with a charcoal rendering to become familiar with the subjects. Then I go to an acrylic version for color approval and then in this case a finished oil. A new commission is coming into the studio and it is a life size oil painting of the "Jumping Masai Warrior" I painted as a mural (see top right).
"SOULMATES" Portraits A new service in my studio is a portrait of you and a loved one in watercolor done on 140lb acid free Arches watercolor paper in a standard size for ease of framing. Sizes range from 8"x10" to 16"x24". Prices are based on the amount of people and backgrounds and photo quality. An 8"x10" watercolor using good photos of the subjects as reference is approximately $125. Put yourself and your love together when you were 5 years old. "Charcoal Portraits" I am now offering charcoal portraits on a 140lb Arches watercolor paper that is guarded with a French Fixative. The sizes run from 8"x 10" to 20" x `16". Prices vary on size. I will take a bad photo and make a wonderful portrait. This is a difficult technique and is therefore unique and more valuable. 8"x10" is $150. 20"x16" is $300 Frames or additional but I can make you a great price and show you how the portrait would look before you decide on a frame through a Photoshop jpeg.
"Pet Portraits" Who doesn't love their pet?? I work in oil, acrylic and watercolor and the price depends on size and medium.
