March 5th 2010 The completion of the second mural for the NYC client is coming to a finish. The process for this is about the same as all my work. I somehow manage to get to the end of a project by utilizing what has for me been a complicated work process. In the "loose" method I provide a dynamic that allows for invention and discovery. Which suits my temperament and gives my clients a wow factor in the final result. I liken the painting process to a competitive match, me and the work. Sometimes I win and sometimes it's a draw. So far not many losses. A new commission is coming into the studio and it is a life size oil painting of the "Jumping Masai Warrior" I painted as a mural (see top right). Lou Marek All work shown throughout the web site is commissioned. I work on fine art projects from portraits to landscapes in oil, watercolor and acrylic, I also accept pet portraits and these are also done in any of the three mediums mentioned. I paint murals for corporate displays, retail decorative assignments and residential commissions. I also paint furniture. Please refer to the pages devoted to these subjects and some of the work. I will discuss the project over the phone and first consultation is free as is the estimate. Communication via phone, email, PDFs and video conferencing (Skype, Logitech) is available.
