Fine Art : Commissions and sales of originals and prints.

          New scratch board illustrations.

I approach all my work with two things in mind. One, to evoke the strongest emotional response I can and two, to learn from every project I take or work on. I hope I never just knock out a piece but strive to find the uniqueness in the subject and express that in an exceptional way, whether it is a portrait or a still life or a landscape. Every subject has a soul and it is that capture I look for. I work every day and to stay sharp I have three or four projects going at the same time. Generally my main easel is holding down a commissioned work then I have three other work stations for exhibition work, shows, and just something to do that is out of my comfort zone.

I believe in the words of James McNeil Whistler that art should be for arts sake and yet I cannot fully forget that as an individual my art is a point of view of my life and life in general and as Oscar Wilde said " We look at mirrors to see ourselves but we look at art to see our souls". My art therefore must strive to appeal to a viewers sense of beauty, wonder and emotion at the same time.

Since moving up to Lake Arrowhead I joined a wonderful group called Mountain Arts Network and it is a non profit art association that runs a gallery on the lake front of Lake Arrowhead in the main village and as of June 1st we will be opening up a Community Arts Center. I was elected President of MAN 6 months ago.
